Hey y'all, I'm Andrea. I have been in Austin for 6 years now, but I am still a Phoenician at heart. I first found yoga in 2008 at Yoga Oasis in Tucson, Arizona during my freshman year of college while I was living in a tiny dorm with 3 roommates. I was constantly surrounded by friends and peers and big changes were affecting my everyday life. I needed to find a way to balance my internal mind with my new external world. Walking into that first class, I was intimidated, I barely understood the language (Sanskrit!) and everyone was so...BENDY! Since that first class, I have fallen in love with the practice. What started as "alone time" and a “good work out” quickly turned into a moving meditation that I can't get enough of. To this day, when I am in need of grounding or calming, I always turn to yoga. Wanting to deepen my personal practice, I completed a 200 RYT training in 2014 and I am certified through Yoga Alliance. I love sharing this practice and have experience teaching vinyasa, yin, and Ashtanga. I enjoy planning classes with a balance of strength and ease focusing on breath to movement and incorporating music to foster meditation while encouraging students to simply enjoy the ride.
